STARS turned out in force for the James Bond premiere.

Wirral’s Daniel Craig, star of 007’s latest offering Skyfall, declared last night’s launch the greatest Bond premiere yet as the film series celebrated its 50th anniversary.

Craig said he was “incredibly proud” to once more be playing the suave hero, who first appeared on the big screen in Dr No in 1962.

He was joined by fellow stars Dame Judi Dench, Naomie Harris, Javier Bardem - who plays Bond’s nemesis Silva - and Ben Whishaw.

Contestants from this year’s X Factor also attended - including Liverpool’s Christopher Maloney - together with Warrington-born presenter Chris Evans.
