Welcome to my world! Super excited because I can now say next year I am getting married, so – yes – the diet has begun.
To be honest, I do this every January after eating everything – and I mean everything – left over from Christmas, probably gaining another 3lbs just because I don’t want to throw food out, despite then trying to starve myself once I have over-indulged!
I say that most Mondays and by Wednesday I am back to eating chips and chocolate – naughty me!
Life just gets in the way, especially having a social life, but I have promised myself my New Year’s resolution is to last at least until Fridays. I may even try Davina McCall’s new app on helping to lose weight and go back to my weight loss meetings with Christina Bebbington in Heswall.
Congratulations to Lily Allen – now known after marriage as Lily Rose Cooper – for giving birth to her little girl Marnie earlier this week. Both she and her husband Sam are ecstatic about adding another girl to the family. I have had a nose on Twitter to look for any cute pictures, but there is nothing – only a re-tweet about Bieber!
I totally understand if you have just had a baby getting on Twitter is not the first thing that is on your mind, but if you have been on Twitter to do a re-tweet then why not say anything about your new bundle of joy. Bonkers! I’d like a picture – guess we may have to wait for the magazine deal!
The Brit awards happen on February 20 and the nominations are out. Emeli Sande leads the way. This isn’t surprising after her fantastic appearance at the MOBOs at the Echo Arena last year. She is up for four awards including Best British Female, Best British Album and two for Best Single.
I still can’t believe that the Bond movie Skyfall is up for an Oscar, a Bafta and a Brit award, yet Daniel Craig – who is Bond – is up for nothing! Bless him!
Now if you fancy a movie, Les Mis came out on Friday and despite being almost three hours long, I would definitely recommend it. Anne Hathaway is superb.
Lots of hugs and sparkle xx
