Olympic gold medallist Sam Quek entered the I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! jungle last night (November 13), after dramatically jumping out of a helicopter.

Former Chester Hockey Club player Sam sky-dived into the Australian jungle along with Lisa Snowdon and Wayne Bridge.

The trio joined Carol Vorderman, Jordan Banjo, Adam Thomas, Ola Jordan, Joel Dommett, Scarlett Moffatt and Larry Lamb on the hit ITV show.

Five of the celebrities arrived at the villa and were told by presenters Ant and Dec to pick a partner who would compete to save them from competing in a bush tucker trial.

A large TV screen was revealed in front of the celebrities and they were each given a buzzer to press as they watched footage of each remaining celebrity.

Sam was the last celebrity to appear on screen and was paired with former Strictly Come Dancing pro Ola Jordan.

In her introduction video Sam said: "I'm competitive, fun, laid back and very stubborn. I'm really nervous to go into the jungle I feel sick.

"I may be screechy and girly, but the thought of people depending on me will get me through."

Ant told the five celebrities they’d now be known as the ‘City Celebs’ and the other five would be called the ‘Jungle Celebs’.

Dec stopped the introductions and said "But we haven’t told you everything.”

“You the Jungle Celebs will also be facing a Bushtucker Trial and the only person that can save you is your new partner, so essentially, you’re trying to save each other.” said Ant.

The Jungle Celebs and the City Celebs each went off to do their ‘Saviours Challenge’.

Sam, Wayne and Lisa arrived via helicopter at a jungle clearing and saw that their challenge would take place at 10,000 feet in the sky as they had to tandem jump into the jungle.

The challenge was to release a flare closest to 60 seconds after jumping out of the plane.

Sam got to the edge of the helicopter, screaming as she prepared for her tandem jump.

Sam was the loser of the challenge, as she let her flare off at 51 seconds, the furthest away from 60 seconds.

Following the challenges the two groups were reunited at camp.

Unfortunately Sam and Ola who were playing for each other both lost.

Sam said: “I was dreading coming into camp and telling you the bad news so I really felt nervous coming into camp."

"We can do it together."

The pair will now face The Tomb of Torment, an ancient deserted tomb in the depths of the Jungle, featuring more than 120,000 critters.

They have to lie down next to each other in the tiny tomb and be joined by rats, mealworms, spiders, crickets and cockroaches in an attempt to win 10 stars for camp.

When she heard about the trial Sam said: "Oh No! Hold me!"

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
