Families can at last buy tickets for Mattel Play! Liverpool.

The website went live this afternoon and the £1.5m family entertainment centre will now open its doors at 10am on Tuesday, March 22 .

The attraction will open in the Grand Hall at the Albert Dock and will feature more than 13,000 square feet of interactive adventure play across three uniquely themed zones.

The venue is the first of its kind in Europe and features iconic British characters Thomas & Friends , Fireman Sam and Bob the Builder .

The centre is offering an introductory price at £10 per child and £2 per accompanying adult.

Kids aged up to six months will be free of charge, whilst kids aged seven to 12 months will be just £2 unless they're accompanied by another paying adult and child in which case they'll also be free.

Customers are advised to book via the online booking system for guaranteed entry.

Graham Dentith, General Manager of Mattel Play! Liverpool, said: " It's less than a month now before the attraction opens and it's looking great.

"Bob’s yard, the Sodor Docks and Pontypandy are all coming to life as we await the arrival of the characters themselves.

"We’re expecting it to be really busy so there will be timed entry in the first few weeks and we recommend people book in advance."

Visitors to the centre can get up close to each character which will have their own immersive area so kids can walk into the world that they see on TV and their own adventure.

The centre is completely undercover and there will be a shop and cafe of which an image has also been released as well as green screen experiences to try.
