The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts is a weekend performing arts school for 4-18 year olds – and PQA Chester is enrolling now.

The students from PQA Chester are set to dazzle family and friends with a spectacular performance of PQA’s brand new show ‘Trouble’s A Brewin’ on Sunday, June 10, 2018. As part of PQA’s curriculum the students have the opportunity to perform in the heart of London’s theatreland, and get to experience the thrill and buzz of performing on a West End Stage. PQA Chester have the freedom to be as imaginative and creative with their part of the show as they like, from the casting and staging through to the choreography.

This new show is a musical comedy set in a fictional Mid-West town in the 1870s. Sheriff Trifle is on the hunt for a group of bandits who threaten to disturb the peace ahead of the town’s eleventh birthday.

The sudden disappearance of fifty big ones means that it’s up to Sheriff Trifle to catch the thieves and save the day.

Students spend three hours per week at PQA rotating through hour long sessions in comedy and drama, musical theatre and film and television. The specialist modules, packed full of tips that Pauline has learnt from an incredible 50 years in the business, will teach students everything they need to know to act, sing, dance or direct like a professional. By working with people they believe are outstanding in their field, the academy aims to provide students with a constantly evolving experience - something that is fresh, exciting and bang up-to-date.

PQA believe in inspiring and rewarding their students, so they offer free group Trinity exams, masterclasses, cinema screenings, as well as the opportunity to perform in London’s West End.

For those students who want the chance to work professionally there is the opportunity to join Quirky Kidz Creative Management (QK) – an agency that exclusively represents PQA students. QK clients have won parts in many high profile projects including Charlie & The Chocolate Factory (West End); EastEnders (BBC) and the smash-hit feature film Les Miserables.
