Cestrians are promised a ‘unique and exciting’ shopping experience at Chester Racecourse this Christmas.

The LoveChristmas charity fair comes to the Roodee for the first time ever on Tuesday November 16 and Wednesday November 17, bringing with it a large selection of handpicked stalls and new independent boutiques for gifts not found on the high street.

Homeware, garden, toys, children’s clothes, jewellery, books, Christmas decorations and stationery will also be on offer at the fair, which attracted hundreds of people when it was held at Iscoyd Park near Whitchurch last year.

The event raised more than £13,500 for charity and this year hopes to make similar numbers in aid of the Countess of Chester Hospital’s Babygrow Appeal , Nightingale Hospice and Turn-2-Us.

There will also be a special food court featuring a range of smoked foods and chocolates.

Tickets for the drinks and shopping evening from 6-9pm on November 16 cost £10 in advance. On November 17, the opening times are 9.30am-3.30pm with tickets on the door costing £5.
