A secret location in Cheshire is to become home to a new Lapland UK.

Now in its ninth year the festive attraction is on the move.

Owners Mike and Alison Battle are bringing the theatrical festive experience to the North West for 2016.

Mike Battle said: “We’re overwhelmed by the public’s support for LaplandUK and thrilled that so many families share our view that a child’s belief in Father Christmas is precious and to be cherished.

“Many of our customers travel long distances to visit LaplandUK and come back year after year. We have been inundated with requests to open a second location and feel the time is right to take the magic of Father Christmas to the north west of England”.

The Christmas experience has celeb fans including Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini

The LaplandUK team includes acclaimed Hollywood set designers, special effects experts and a theatrical cast to create Father Christmas’ authentic Arctic homeland, complete with real reindeer and huskies.

The Battles, who have four children, set up LaplandUK out of personal frustration at the lack of quality Father Christmas experiences on offer to families in the UK.

They couldn’t find anywhere to celebrate childhood innocence and traditional Christmas values in a truly magical way. So they created their own interpretation of the Father Christmas myth, which has become a more popular and cheaper alternative than travelling to Lapland.
