Flip Out Chester has welcomed the first visitors to its massive indoor trampoline theme park.

The theme park, the biggest of its kind in the UK at 57,000 feet, opened at Unit 1A at the Chester Gates Business Park. It boasts more than 200 trampolines, a ninja warrior course, huge foam pits, dodgeball, soft play, under sevens area, total wipeout, free running area for children and adults and an amusements section, as well as an American diner and a café.

The Kitchen - the on-site American diner offers tasty menu choices such as grilled skewers, flippin' burgers, handmade pizza and warm salads

The theme park enlisted the help of the world’s tallest man Neil Fingleton for the launch. Now an actor, Neil is a former professional basketball player who has appeared in Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, 47 Ronin and X-Men.

Flip Out Chester managing director Elliott Shuttleworth said: “It’s been absolutely awesome to finally open our doors and let people experience just how different we are and how much is on offer at our trampoline theme park.

“Feedback from everyone visiting this weekend has been fantastic, with amazing five star reviews coming in already. We feel our arena is pretty special and we’re out to show the world that not all trampoline arenas are the same. Our staff team are a really important part of that and we are particularly pleased to see reviewers commending our friendly welcome and fun, encouraging approach.

“We really believe that Flip Out is for all the family from babies through to grandparents.”

Grandmother Margaret Howard visited with her two grandsons Joe and Lewis Waterhouse, aged 10. She said: “It’s so family friendly. It’s great for me as you have the choice if you want to get involved or if you want to watch from the side-lines. What is most impressive is that there is an area for very young children – I’ve been to arenas before where they haven’t been able to have a go because they are too young.”

Justin Fisher, from Chester, enjoyed the trampolines, dodgeball, ninja warrior course and total wipeout along with children Jasmine, 9, Kai, 8 and five-year-old twins Kalum and Kameron.

He said: “I’m having as good a time as the kids! There’s so much to do here and it’s great that this is somewhere we can bring all of them together and they all have fun. We’ll definitely be back.”

Gymnasts Lily Muir and Hannah Fullerton from Ellesmere Port had a great day

The Chester trampoline park is the second store launched in the UK by Elliott and his business partner, Matthew Melling. The pair opened the highly successful Flip Out Stoke in December 2015 which was the first UK store for the global Flip Out franchise.

Flip Out Chester will be open from 9am to 10pm daily, except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Bouncing sessions in the trampoline arena will cost £15 for two hours, per person. Pre-booking is essential to avoid disappointment. People can check availability and book their session at www.flipout.co.uk/chester
