Award-winning theatre group Ellesmere Port Musical Theatre Company has announced its latest cast member Lulu in their forthcoming production of Oliver! at the Floral Pavilion, in New Brighton, Wirral from September 4-6.
Unlike the famous Scottish singer of same name, this Lulu is an 18th month old bull terrier and she is preparing to make her theatre debut playing the role of Bullseye – the dog of feared villain Bill Sykes.
Lulu will try to look menacing as she joins the 50+ strong cast of local adults and children.
In the 2014 Crufts dog show Lulu was the proud winner of Best Puppy in addition to a whole host of other awards she has received across the country.

The company recently took time out from rehearsing their production of Oliver! to celebrate the announcement of flagship productions for 2015 and 2016 after being selected from theatre groups across the country to perform two significant new releases.
The Floral Pavilion will again host the company in September 2015, as they perform Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s musical Sunset Boulevard, and in September 2016, as they perform the sassy hit, Legally Blonde.

“Sunset was a huge hit for Lloyd-Webber as well as the big name actresses who have played the lead role – Patti LuPone, Glenn Close and Petula Clark to name a few.
“The stage adaptation of Legally Blonde was a huge Broadway and West End hit and the script is funnier than the film version.”
