What time will the truck arrive in Chester?

The famous truck will be coming to Eastgate Street at 12 noon until 8pm.

Coca Cola recommend arriving in plenty of time if you want your picture taken with the truck, as queues of up to an hour are possible. It's wise to dress as warmly as possible.

Do I need a ticket?

You don't need to get a ticket, Coca Cola say the event is open for everyone to enjoy, and all events are open to allow as many people as possible.

What can I expect from the event?

Eastgate Street will be transformed into a magical winter wonderland where you can get up close to the truck and have a keepsake photo taken.

Radio presenters from Capital FM will also be at the stop to give visitors the chance to win tickets to this year’s Capital Jingle Bell with Coca-Cola, at the O2 arena in London.

In addition to the scheduled stops, for the first time this year, Coca-Cola is also giving people the opportunity to win a personal visit from the Christmas truck and a hamper of festive treats worth £5,000. The competition is running on selected packs of all four Coca-Cola variants in the run up to Christmas.

Can I take children?

There has been much disapproval about the Coca Cola truck's tour and the health effects on children, but even if you don't allow your child to take advantage of a free drink, the festive truck and Christmas songs will no doubt bring a smile to the little ones' faces.

Do I get a free can of Coke?

Christmas helpers will be serving free chilled Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Life or Coke Zero accompanied by a seasonal chorus. However, samples are not given to under 12s without a parent's permission.

Coca Cola said: "We don't market any drinks to children under 12 because we believe parents should choose the drinks that are right for their families."

What happens if the truck stop is delayed or cancelled?

Sometimes Coca Cola have to cancel or postpone a stop due to adverse weather conditions or other events out of their control.

However, they promise that if this happens, they will rearrange it for another date (subject to timings and availability).

Can I bring my own food and drink?

There will be no catering facilities at the truck stops but you are welcome to bring your own food and drink.

What happens to all the Coke cans from the truck stop?

There are special recycling bins at all the Coca-Cola Christmas truck stops.

Can I sit inside the truck?

The inside of the truck isn't open to the public.

How do I collect my official photo with the truck?

On the day, you get a collection card with a code on it. When you want to claim your photo, visit www.holidaysarecoming.com/photo. You’ll need to register or log into Coke Zone and enter the code. If you have no luck with this, send an email to helpme@clickit-inc.com with your collection code, along with the date and time of the photo, and a short description of who’s in the photo and what they’re wearing.

Can I take my own photos?

Yes, as many as you like. Coca Cola ask that you share your photos on Facebook and Twitter using #holidaysarecoming

How will Chester's roads be affected?

Signs have been put up warning drivers of new temporary restrictions in Eastgate Street during the vehicle's visit. The road is closed from 3pm to 10pm and Cheshire police will be on patrol to enforce strict parking rules.

Any vehicle parking in St Werburgh Street and Eastgate Street between 10.30am to 10pm will be towed away.
