Bonfire Night celebrations promise to be explosive this year with a selection of major events taking place in Cheshire.
Clubs and societies, organisations and groups have organised bonfire and fireworks displays all over Cheshire West and Chester in the coming weeks.

Thursday, November 5:
Barrow: Barrow Parish Council annual bonfire and firework display at Barrowmore, Barrow, Chester. Bonfire lit at 6.30pm, fireworks at 7.00pm.
Hooton: The Hooton Bar & Restaurant. Live music from Hush, bonfire, fireworks display, BBQ, bouncy castle, face-painting, stalls. Kids activities from 4pm, live music from 5.45pm, bonfire lit at 6.30pm and fireworks at 7pm (approx). FREE EVENT.
Christleton: The Plough Inn fireworks party. DJ, outdoor catering, lasers. Gates open at 6pm, fireworks at 7.30pm, Adults £5, children £3.
Buckley: Higher Common, Hawkesbury Road, Buckley. Annual fireworks display. Starts at 6.30pm, collection for local charities on the gate.
Friday, November 6:
Broxton: The Sandstone, Broxton, Malpas. Bonfire lit at 6.30pm and fireworks start at 7pm. There is a marquee if weather is inclement. Adults £10, children £7-50 including free food, a free drink and a free party bag with child’s ticket. For more information contact the pub on 01829 782333
Ellesmere Port: Lions Club Firework Spectacular at Whitby Park. Opening at 4:30pm and display starts at 7:30pm. There will be entertainment and music with Capital FM, a fun fair with rides for all ages and plenty of refreshments and various stalls. Entrance fee is donations in the bucket as you enter. NB: This is a family non alcohol event, alcohol will not be available or allowed at the event.
Huntington CP School: Fireworks event, Bar, BBQ, refreshments. Adults £4, children & OAPs £2.50. Gates open at 6.30pm.
Elton Parish Field: 1st Ince and Elton Scout Group present this year's Bonfire and Fireworks Spectacular. FREE to enter event. Bonfire lit around 7pm, fireworks scheduled for 7.30pm, various refreshment stalls (tea, coffee, burgers and hot dogs). Helsby Community Sports Club: Helsby’s annual firework display takes place at the club and offers a fantastic display set to music, along with a funfair and refreshments. The event is staged with support from Frodsham Round Table with a nominal entry charged on arrival.
Saturday, November 7:
Chester: Lions Firework Fun Night at Chester Racecourse. Funfair, food, and live music. Toddler’s Fireworks 6.45pm. Main Display 7.30pm. Tickets available at the gate for £5 per person, children under 7 are free.
Frodsham Community Centre: Frodsham & district bonfire & fireworks display. Starts at 6pm. Adults £4, children £3, all proceeds are reinvested back to the community.
Dodleston: Firework and Bonfire display at Chester Lakes, Church Road, Dodleston, CH4 9LQ. Gates open 5.30pm.
Tarporley: 1st Tarporley Scouts bonfire & fireworks display. Behind ETC/The Crown, Tarporley. Gates open at 6pm. Bonfire will be lit at 6:30pm and fireworks at 7pm. Light refreshments, glow sticks, sweets and mulled wine available. Adults £5, children £2.50.
Winsford Town: Bonfire at Barton Stadium. Gates open at 6pm.
Penyffordd: Penyffordd War Memorial Institute bonfire and firework display. Starts at 6.30pm.
Sunday, November 8:
Saughall: Saughall Colts JFC Bonfire & Fireworks display at The Greyhound Pub, Saughall. Gates open 5.30pm, fire lit 6pm, fireworks 6.30pm. Price £3, under 5's are free. BBQ and bar.
Mickle Trafford : The Chester Fields Country Pub & Restaurant, Mickle Trafford - big bonfire and firework display. £10 per adult and £5 per child. If you book a table in the restaurant between 3pm and 5pm and then 6.15pm and after you will receive 50% of your ticket price back off your final bill. Firework display starts at 6pm. Hot food and drinks available outside for non diners.
