This year Abbey Gate College was proud to present hit West End musical Oklahoma.
The four performances of this hit musical played to packed houses and the 40 plus cast and crew members were pupils ranging from Year 8 to members of the upper sixth, all of whom have been rehearsing the choreography, acting and singing involved since the beginning of September.
Head of the drama department, Charlotte House, was in charge of acting and choreography, and Stewart Smith was the musical director for the production.
Charlotte said: “I am so proud of every one the performers. Not only is this a great experience for them in terms of developing their acting, dancing and singing skills, but it is also so exciting to see pupils from across the College working together to build an incredible performance.
“I am so grateful for all of their hard work and would like to thank all those departments across the College who have contributed to the set, lighting, music and theatrical direction.”
Sixth form pupil Charlotte Allmand was dance captain and the staff and pupils worked tirelessly to put together a fabulous show.
