The Manchester Phoenix is giving readers the chance to win one of 10 family tickets to attend a home game this season.

The Phoenix are playing at Deeside Ice Rink near Chester this season before moving to a purpose-built facility in Manchester next year and you could be in with a chance of watching one of their games.

A family ticket includes two adults and two children aged over five while all children under five can attend games for free.

Deeside Ice Rink features more than 1,000 seats with a variety of food and drink options available for fans.

The Manchester Phoenix is one of the premier ice hockey teams in the UK, having won two league titles and one playoff title under coach Tony Hand in recent years.

The club features players from the North West as well as four European forwards, including ex-NHL star Stanislav Gron and Czech playmaker Robin Kovar.

The club also hosts events throughout the season, giving fans the opportunity to meet their favourite players.

Throughout the season, Phoenix will play around 30 league and cup games in Deeside, alongside the annual War of the Roses matches against the Sheffield Steeldogs in December.

Most games are played on a Sunday evening, with a 6.30pm face-off time, and competition winners can choose from any home game between now and the end of the season in April.

Ice hockey is the fastest team sport in the world, popular across North America and Europe. In the UK, ice hockey is a family-orientated sport, with young families making up a significant proportion of the club’s fanbase.

So if you’re from Cheshire or North Wales, get down to Deeside on a Sunday evening and cheer on the Phoenix!
