Get ready to paint the town black next year when one of Britain’s finest comedians Dylan Moran comes to Wrexham on his Off the Hook tour.

Renowned for his starring role as Bernard Black on Channel 4’s award-winning Black Books alongside fellow comedian Bill Bailey, the Irish comic will perform his latest stand-up at Glyndwr University’s William Aston Hall May 1, 2015.

Moran was born in Navan, County Meath, Ireland. After leaving school, it has been said that Moran spent four years unemployed “drinking and writing bad poetry”.

He is fresh off the back of a leading role in Calvary, an Irish film written and directed by John Michael McDonagh which features many other Irish actors such as Brendan Gleeson, Chris O’Dowd and Aidan Gillen, receiving critical acclaim upon its release.

Moran has also starred in cult classics such as Shaun of the Dead, Run Fatboy Run and Notting Hill, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Hugh Grant.

Now Dylan is back on the road again, doing what he does best on a new mammoth UK tour, his first since 2011/12’s Yeah, Yeah.

Don’t miss out on who Channel 4 officially voted the 14th greatest stand-up comic in the world, with his satirical observational musings on the world set to leave Wrexham in stitches.

Tickets for Dylan’s debut show at Glyndwr University’s WAH are priced £25, with concessions available at £23 and showtime is 8pm.
