One of the nation’s most popular comedians is heading for The Brindley in Runcorn as part of his nationwide tour.

Jason Manford will appear at The Brindley on High Street on Wednesday, September 24, as part of his First World Problems tour.

The date has been announced along with 17 others throughout the autumn after already performing more than 220 shows across the UK.

While on stage, the funny man encourages audience participation by inviting them to share their First World Problems which leads to hilarious exchanges.

Jason said: “I have really been enjoying this show, the audiences have been absolutely fantastic and I love nothing more than making them laugh. They have been such a great support and I can’t wait to see more of them this autumn.”

His career has gone from strength to strength since shooting to stardom as a team captain on Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats in 2007.

Stand up sets on BBC shows Live At The Apollo and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow as well as ITV’s The Royal Variety Performance have all helped establish Jason as a nationally known comic.

He has also made appearances on QI, Big Fat Quiz Of The Year and Comedy World Cup and hosted brand new BBC One series A Question of Sport: Super Saturday throughout June.

A second series of his own BBC One show Walk On The Wild Side aired in 2010, he hosted Comedy Rocks with Jason Manford on ITV1, has been a regular panellist on two series of Odd One In on ITV1 and hosted ITV’s Funny Old Year on New Year’s Eve 2013.

Since last being on tour, he has also tried his hand at opera singing after winning ITV show Born To Shine and joined Alfie Boe on tour.
