The Commercial in Chester has teamed up with local comedian and MC Danny McLoughlin to launch a new weekend comedy offering.
The Comedy Lounge takes place at The Commercial on Northgate Street every Friday and Saturday night.
McLoughlin said: “We want to recapture the feel of an old, independent comedy club because that’s just what we are – an independently owned venue with a huge amount of history.
“The Comedy Lounge is just a small room with a fantastic atmosphere where you can have a few drinks and a stack of laughs.
“Shows start at 7.30pm every Friday and Saturday, are priced at £10 per person and will run for around two hours leaving folks with more than enough time to carry on their weekend.”
All of The Comedy Lounge bills will be handpicked by Danny and feature some of the best comics from the national and international circuit with past names at The Commercial including Sarah Millican, Chris Ramsey, The Boy with Tape on his Face, Sean Walsh and Jack Whitehall.
