Speculation is mounting that the Coca Cola truck will visit Chester this Christmas.

Coca Cola set tongues wagging on Friday by announcing a list of locations the famous festive truck would be stopping at in December, including Chester, but then appeared to mysteriously remove the page from their website an hour later.

The page had said the iconic truck would be in Chester on Thursday, December 3, after visiting various locations in North Wales.

But it was soon replaced by a link saying the page could no longer be found. The website now tells users to keep their eyes peeled for all 2015 dates and locations.

At the moment, the annual Chester Winter Watch Parade is still listed to take place in the city centre from 7.30pm on December 3, despite speculation it has been cancelled. The Chronicle is still waiting for confirmation from Cheshire West and Chester Council about this.

The famous Christmas Coca Cola truck first appeared on TV screens in November 1995 and since then has become a regular feature of festive TV schedules in more than 100 countries worldwide.

Its Christmas tours up and down the UK attract hundreds of people and for many, the sight of the famous truck heralds the start of the festive season.

In recent years, some of the nearby places it has visited include Asda Queensferry, Wrexham and Broughton Retail Park in 2013.
