Performing arts students from West Cheshire College are putting on a performance of Charles Dickens’ festive classic A Christmas Carol this December.

Three separate casts made up of Level 2, 3 and HNC students will put on 10 performances at the college’s Ellesmere Port campus from Monday, December 15-Friday, December 19.

The 7pm show on December 17 will be a special charity performance raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust after Nathan Standing, a performing arts student who studied at the college, lost his battle to cancer.

The show dates are:

Monday, December 15 at 10am, 1pm and 5pm; Tuesday, December 16 at 1pm and 7pm; Wednesday, December 17 at 1pm and 7pm; Thursday, December 18 at 1pm and 7pm; Friday, December 19 at 1pm.

Paul Moss, programme leader in performing arts at West Cheshire College, said: “We decided on A Christmas Carol for our December performance as it is a classic story which people of all ages will enjoy.

“Our talented students have been working really hard in rehearsals and I know that they will put on a fantastic performance.

“There will be mince pies, roast chestnuts and non- alcoholic mulled wine available to buy at each performance to really get everyone in a Christmassy mood.”
