The Cheshire Military Museum in Chester has launched its spring events programme starting with a new monthly drop in tour of the museum today (Thursday, January 30) at 2pm.

The tour will be taken by the museum officer, Caroline Mannion, and offers an opportunity to learn about the soldiers of Cheshire.

With a history spanning three centuries, with a great many battles fought across the world, the tour will tell the story of the soldiers of Cheshire from the 17th century to present day.

As well as the new monthly drop in tours the spring events programme is full of interesting talks, fun children’s activities, exciting exhibitions, an evening opening, a community collection road show and some Great War re-enactors.

The monthly drop-in tour will be on the last Thursday of the month, normal admission charges apply of adults £3, concessions £2 and a family ticket at £8, free to Friends of the Cheshire Military Museum.
