Strictly bookies’ favourite Jay McGuiness has signed up to perform on the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour heading for Liverpool.

The Wanted singer, who last weekend scored 39 out of 40 for his rumba with pro partner Aliona Vilani, will appear at the ECHO arena shows on February 2.

Call The Midwife actress Helen George will also dance on the tour, it was revealed today, along with EastEnder Jake Wood who took part in last year’s competition.

They join chef Ainsley Harriott, TV presenter Anita Rani, and Corrie actress Georgia May Foote from this year’s BBC Saturday night ratings winning series, along with The Saturdays’ Frankie Bridge to complete the line-up for the live arena tour.

Jay McGuiness said today: “I’m used to performing in front of massive crowds when touring with The Wanted, but performing with Aliona on the Strictly Live Tour will be a totally different experience.

“I’m loving my time on the TV series, but the idea of being back out in front of live arena audiences is something I’m very much looking forward to.”

And Helen added: “I had a brilliant time on Strictly, so I’m very excited to continue my journey and have the chance to show off some of my favourite dances on the UK tour.

“I’m sure that it’ll be amazing to dance in front of huge arena audiences with Aljaz and I’m very much looking forward to the audience helping me feel at home on the dance floor each night.”
