They say life begins at 40 – and for psychic medium Donna Fallon they’re spot on.

The 46-year-old visits Crewe Lyceum next week ready to deliver messages from the spirit world to loved ones in the auditorium.

Many in her field often claim they knew they had ‘the gift’ from an early age, but Liverpudlian Donna was a late developer.

She was 40 and visiting a spiritualist church shortly after her mother-in-law and sister-in-law passed away within a few weeks of each other.

“I was an average mum of three who couldn’t drive a car and hadn’t been to college,” she says.

“I went along to a spiritualist church and the medium there changed my life. She turned to me and gave me my daughter’s name, said I would pass my driving test, that my daughter would become an actress and that I had this gift.

“I thought at the time that she’s crazy, that she can’t know that. But all of it has come true.”

Donna was invited to join a psychic development circle and has now been working as a professional medium for six years, with her work taking her all over the world, including Tokyo and LA.

She says she is unsure as to why she was bestowed with such talents, though her grandmother used to conduct seances while her grandfather descended from Romany gypsies.

She explains the process as the spirit world ‘giving us what we need, not always what we want’.

“I told a man that was poor and whose wife’s birthday was coming up that his dad was saying he would win on a scratchcard. Sure enough, he went and won £1,000 to pay for a lovely party.

“Another woman needed money to replace a TV and I got a message of lottery numbers. She didn’t win a huge amount, £400, just enough to buy a decent TV.

“I’m in a kind of altered state and once I’ve finished I’ve no idea what I’ve said to people. It’s not my information to retain, I say an awful lot and it can be very emotional. I’m just the channel.

“For me it’s not a burden, it’s precious. Sometimes if I go to a party I see people edging toward me and that’s difficult because it’s my night off.”

Her Lyceum visit is part of a nine-date tour around the country.

She says she tries to communicate with as many people as possible, and hosts an extensive meet-

and-greet after the show.

She says: “It’s not too serious, there’s fun and laughter – the spirit world loves that. Not everyone gets a message but I want the audience to go away uplifted.

“We’ve all got personal things we don’t want people to know. I won’t embarrass anyone or say anything awful to them.

“I work hard with my shows. It’s important I give as many messages as I can.

“It very much mentally and emotionally drains me.

“I see it as going out and doing my work. I’m very relaxed though I get nervous before a show and wonder why I put myself through it. But when I’m finished I’m on the biggest high.”

Donna’s art is still shrouded in mystery and doubt, though packed theatre audiences will attest to her ‘powers’, along with celebrity clients such as Amy Childs, Sam Faiers and Colleen Rooney.

But she says she doesn’t set out to change people’s perspectives.

“I don’t go chasing people to make them believe.

“They have to approach me and sometimes people can’t wait to tell me it’s a load of old rubbish, but I just smile.”

She adds: “People have a right to believe what they want and I respect that.”

Donna visits Crewe Lyceum on February 16. The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £18.50. To book, call  01270 368242 or visit www.crewelyceum.co.uk.
