Ashton Hayes Theatre Club are performing My Mother Said I Never Should in Tarvin Community Centre from Thursday-Saturday, June 11-13.

This beautifully written play explores the lives and relationships of four generations of women from the same family living in Manchester and London through snapshots and key moments in their lives.

The play examines the sometimes difficult relationships between mothers and daughters and examines the themes of independence, growing up and secrets.

It tells the story of Doris, Margaret, Jackie and Rosie, their loves, expectations, and choices, all set against the huge social changes of the 20th century, weaving backwards and forwards over 60 eventful years.
