A YOUNG Chester team will be paraded in front of 82,000 supporters rugby supporters at Saturday’s sold-out Aviva Premiership Final at Twickenham.

Chester Under 11s will take to the field at half-time during the big clash between Harlequins and Leicester Tigers.

It is their reward for winning a Land Rover Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup festival at Sale Sharks in front of Wales and British and Irish Lions star Dwayne Peel.

Chester will represent their region at Rugby HQ and will form part of a ‘parade of champions’ featuring the other winners of the nationwide competition for U11s and U12s teams.

Chester’s captain Sam Nieto said: “It was a great day at the Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup, the competition was tough which made winning really special for me and the team. It was exciting to get our trophy from a Premiership Rugby player too!

“I am really looking forward to going to Twickenham and can’t wait to see the Aviva Premiership Rugby Final and be a part of the parade at half-time.”

Land Rover ambassador and England and Leicester scrum-half Ben Youngs reckons it will be a day the Chester players will never forgot.

He said: “The fact that the winning teams from the festivals are able to be a part of the Land Rover parade of champions at the Aviva Premiership Rugby Final is something special and I’m sure something that they will remember for the rest of their rugby careers.

“Perhaps we’ll even see a few of them playing there soon!”

The Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup is part of Land Rover’s ongoing support for grassroots rugby.

The competition, which began in 2008, is officiated by Premiership Rugby and run in conjunction with all 12 Premiership clubs.
