Chester RUFC have announced director of rugby Nic Corrigan has left the club after two-and-a-half seasons.

Corrigan moved to Hare Lane in summer 2012 to replace head coach Dave Craven, who stepped down due to work commitments, and later became director of rugby.

He steered Chester to the National League Three North title in his first season in charge and last term consolidated the club's position in National League Two North.

Chester have made a strong start to the current campaign and Corrigan leaves with them third in the table and on a six-game winning streak.

Hare Lane chairman Jonny Beckwith has confirmed Craven has taken over as director of rugby with former England international Phil Greening joining the coaching team.

Corrigan has taken up a new role with National League One strugglers Cinderford as lead coach and performance consultant.
