RELEGATED Liverpool St Helens will have a new-look management team when they start life in North One next season.

Following the recent death of club chairman Alan Walker, the role will now be filled by the club's media representative, John Williams.

Coach Gary French is stepping down after tomorrow's final National League Three North game at Macclesfield, and former Widnes and Lancashire hooker Paul Woodward will head the new coaching team after experience with the county's youth set-up, Widnes Vikings RL and LSH.

French was pleased with the way LSH ran Sedgley Park close in their 14-10 defeat in this week's Lancashire Cup semi-final and the players are determined to give him a good send-off at Macclesfield.

A highlight of an all-round fine team performance by LSH was the impressive return of Holland international Jim Keulemans. He has missed most of the season after breaking a leg while training with the Dutch squad and keeps his place in the pack tomorrow.

Second-placed Orrell should notch up their 21st Division One win of the season at mid-table Bedford. They recall Steve Barretto and Alex Bennett to the pack in place of Petrus de Plessis, who has returned to South Africa, and Opeta Palepoi.

It has been a tough season for injury-ravaged West Park , who have done well to stay fourth in North One. They sign off tomorrow with a home date against Birkenhead Park, with forward stalwart Paul Houlton planning to end his career after more than 320 games and over 100 tries to his credit.

Champions Widnesplay their final game in Cheshire/ South Lancashire Division One against visitors Northwich with Gary Riley switching to full-back and Rob Mclean, Martin O'Neill and Chris Leedam all included.

Despite winning only one of their first six games, Sefton

have done remarkably well to be on the fringe of the Cheshire/South Lancashire Third Division promotion race, mainly due to a home record of nine wins from 11. They end their campaign at lowly Congleton with Mark Carruthers returning to the pack after an Achilles problem.
