A PROMISING rugby player is trialing for an England youth development squad.
Jack Warrington, 15, from Blakenhall, has been invited to take part in a series of trials at Preston Grasshoppers and Chester, and if successful, the number eight will become part of the North of England development squad.
Jack, who one day hopes to emulate his heroes currently enjoying success in the World Cup in Australia, has been playing rugby since the age of six.
He started playing for Crewe and Nantwich and is a member of Lymm Rugby Club's Under 16s squad.
Jack has enjoyed strong support from Fitness First, who have allowed him free use of their Crewe gym to build up his strength and fitness ahead of the trials.
Currently in the final year of GCSE study at Brine Leas High School, he won his first representative honours when he was selected for Cheshire last season.
