NORTHWICH have been allocated 750 tickets for the EDF Senior Vase final at Twickenham on Sunday, April 15.

But their appearance in the national final won't be a money spinner - they only get to keep 10% of however much they raise.

The RFU stage four EDF finals on the same day and the Northwich-Bradford game kick off at 10am, meaning an overnight stay or early start for fans.

Tickets are on sale by application and forms are at Moss Farm (01606 783835). Prices are £40 and £25 adults, £20 and £12 under 15s.

Spectators will be able to watch all four finals and all Northwich seats will be situated in the same block.

Northwich are the only one of the eight finalists from the North West and they are being filmed for BBC regional news on April 10 and were mentioned on Sky Sports on Sunday by Dewi Morris, Winnington Park's most famous old boy, now a TV pundit.

After winning every game this season bar one - which they drew - Northwich are on the verge of a possible treble.

Victories over Dukinfield at home on Saturday (3pm) and Aspull a week later will make them champions of the South Lancs and Cheshire League.

They have never won a title before and next season will be on the same standing as neighbours Winnington Park for the first time.

Next Wednesday Northwich are at Wilmslow in the Cheshire Vase semi-final and, of course, they are also 80 minutes away from the national prize.
