JIM Taylor made his senior debut on Saturday, joining his dad Dave in the team, but he could not save Christleton from defeat.
While Jim is at the start of his career, Dave has played more than 400 games for the club.
Christleton played well in the first half, Dom Adams showing he still has the pace to worry the opposition.
With the majority of the territory and possession, the Chester hosts were unlucky to finish the half seven points down.
Early second-half injuries to forwards Christian Jones and Pete Roberts gave Linley the upper hand but the scoreline did not give a fair representation of the play.
Ashley Salter was man of the match for Christleton, who host West Park Warriors tomorrow. Kick-off is 3pm.
