SANDBACH Rugby Club players and supporters will be enjoying beers at breakfast time as they cheer England to World Cup glory.

England face Australia in the World Cup Final on Saturday.

The match kicks-off at 9am our time. But members of the Sandbach club are not to be deterred.

The club has gained a special licence to serve alcohol between 9am and 11am, and full English breakfasts will also be offer at the Bradwall Road ground.

More than 100 people are expected to turn-up and roar their team on.

Spokesman Andy Maddock explained: `We had a special licence for the game against France on Sunday and we had well over 100 people turn up. `We have a big-screen TV and several regular-sized screens at the club and it was tremendous, really good. Everybody was singing, and we all stood up for the National Anthem.

`The breakfasts went down well and then it was like being at the game. The atmosphere was great and everyone is looking forward to the final very much.'

Mr Maddock added: `We have a big match against Crewe and Nantwich after the final on Saturday, so players won't be able to have a drink until we have played that.

`We did ask the league if we could call off the game, and they said no.

`We asked Crewe as well, but they wanted to play the game but I am sure the breakfasts will still go down a treat.''
