ONE of the few remaining unbeaten runs in top-level rugby union will end tomorrow - and Waterloo will be out to ensure it isn't theirs.

The Merseysiders take on National League Division One leaders Pertemps Bees in the fifth round of the Powergen Cup tomorrow.

The pair are two of only eight teams in the five National Leagues yet to lose a game this season.

Skipper Tony Handley will renew old rivalries with former Scotland and British Lions half-back Craig Chalmers. Waterloo will also be facing former centre Sean Woof.

"Chalmers is still a quality act even though he's 35 while we know Sean is a strong centre," Handley said.

"They are two divisions higher than us so you would have to say that they start favourites but we believe we can bring something to the table."

Orrell will rotate their pack for tomorrow's tricky tie at Bristol.

"We want everyone match-fit for what will be a critical part of the season coming up," boss Ross Reynolds explained.

Steve Barretto is rested and Alistair Livesey, Mike Howe and Matt Parr form a new-look front row. If they win, Orrell will entertain Wasps in round six.

Liverpool St Helensare refusing to panic despite one point from the last six. Their two Division Three North defeats have been by only five points while they ended Blaydon's 100 per cent record with an 18-18 draw.
