KENDAL played exactly as Chester coach Matt Farr had predicted at Hare Lane on Saturday as his side put in their best performance of the season.
The agricultural style of the visitors' game - pile everything behind a heavy pack and push - played right into Chester's hands.
Kendal could not handle Chester's pacy back division and centre Morne Barnardo ran in a hat-trick of tries.
Matt Bellamy (2), Tom Donovan, Simon Love and Matt Bebbington also found themselves on the scoresheet as Chester ran riot.
Bebbington kicked three conversions.
Farr said: 'It was a fantastic match. We have two games left and we are four points behind Birkenhead Park.
'The only way we can overhaul them now is by posting more big scoring wins and hope that they lose their remaining two games heavily.'
It is still unclear how many teams will go down from North One, so Chester's fate remains in the balance. Their next match is away to Hull tomorrow week.
