CHESTER'S hopes of a first North One victory were dashed at the end as Steve Moore landed a drop goal to tip the balance the way of Middlesborough.
Paul Brett struck four penalties for Chester and there was also a try from Jim Lyle. The visitors also scored just one try but the kicking of Moore, with another drop goal, two penalties and a conversion, proved decisive.
