ENGLAND rugby ace Jason Robinson put Northwich youngsters through their paces at a sports academy on Thursday.

Robinson coached Cransley School's 69 pupils aged eight to 11 (more than two thirds of whom are girls) in a selection of warm-up exercises and rugby skills after the school won a competition.

Cransley was selected at random from the 30,000 schools and clubs signed-up to receive Tesco Sport for Schools & Clubs support.

Jason said: 'I have always been passionate about sport, not just rugby. With just a little guidance, support and encouragement, I believe all youngsters can experience the fun that can be gained through sport. I'm delighted that through Tesco Sport for Schools & Clubs I can help inspire and motivate kids.'

Cransley PE teacher Chris

Davies, also coach of Cheshire Hockey League winners Winnington Park, said: 'We we're thrilled to have won the coaching session with Jason Robin-

son. Sport is a major focus here so we're delighted he was able to come and inspire our pupils personally. The children were really excited.'
