CHESTER line up against a tough Morley side tomorrow and will be looking to put their first defeat of the season against Cleckheaton last Saturday behind them.

Chester lost 24-16 to Cleckheaton, who stole second place.

The team were disappointed to lose to an in-form side who are on a winning streak and clinched vital points from Chester, to close the gap between the two clubs to just two points.

Morley are currently placed fifth in North One Division, just two points behind Chester, and will be looking to cause an upset at Hare Lane.

However, director Terry Allen believes that the Chester team 'will pull out all the stops' against their Powergen League opponents as they look to regain their previously unstoppable form and take a precious two points from Morley, mindful that they have got a game in hand over Cleckheaton and league leaders Bradford & Bingley.

Terry Allen said: 'We have looked closely at the reasons why we lost the game against Cleckheaton and are confident that we have sorted it out.

'We feel that in this competitive league, we need to be winning our home games. We know we have to get back to winning ways. We are anticipating a good result after last week. I know the boys will be looking to respond and we have no doubt that they will.

He added: 'Of course, we were disappointed by last week's defeat by Cleckheaton - it was the first defeat this year - but we hope we can bounce back from that.

'Morley are a tough team and will present us with a few difficulties, but the boys are looking to pull out all the stops. We are planning for a more aggressive game.' The Chester line-up is: M Davies, D Potts, A Davies, G Sanger, S Withers, R Hughes, G Taylor, G Woods, C Ellis, M King, J Lyle, G Parry (capt), S Burke, B Foden Kick-off at Hare Lane is 2.15pm. Chester A Team travel to West Park for a rearranged fixture in the North West Second Team League. Chester Veterans are to play Wallasey away and it is hoped that a third-team game can be organised at Chester. Both matches are at 2.30pm.
