ATHLETICS: WEST Cheshire AC juniors have steered their county to a hat-trick of victories.
The Chester and Ellesmere Port club members celebrated success at the North West Regional Sportshall Championships held at Robin's Park, Wigan.
Gemma Mayled, Abbie Kirk, Danielle Bentley and Sam Galley combined to earn the Cheshire team a win in the girls' under 13 age group.
Gemma cleared a new best of 1.30m to finish joint third in the high jump, and then teamed up with the 4x1-lap relay squad to finish second.
Abbie won the four-lap title, finished fifth in the speed bounce and teamed up with Charlotte Mather for second place in the eight-lap parlaaf.
Danielle Bentley hit 7.70m for third spot in the shot and earned the Cheshire obstacle relay team success.
Sam Galley finished second in the two-lap, combined to earn the county 4x2-lap relay team victory and finished fourth in the standing long jump.
Aidan Stoakley and Tom Booth helped Cheshire's U13 boys grab success in their team event.
Aidan won the two-lap and speed bounce and pushed the 4x2-lap relay team to glory.
Tom finished second in the standing long jump and contributed towards Cheshire's win in the obstacle relay.
West Cheshire's U15 boys trio of Gareth Preston, Michael Lyness and Matthew White helped Cheshire to team glory.
Gareth finished fourth in the two lap, fifth in the standing long jump, third in the shot, and was part of the county team that won the 4x2-lap relay.
Michael finished second in the standing triple jump, fifth in the four lap, fifth in the shot, and joined Gareth in the winning 4x2-lap relay squad.
Matthew delivered a victory in the four lap, fifth spot in the standing triple jump, and 10th place in the speed bounce.
The West Cheshire U15 girls quartet of Rebecca Grimes, Daisy Flynn-Piercy, Shona Valentine and Kerry Riley were part of the county team that finished fourth.
Daisy won the two lap, finished 14th in the speed bounce, eighth in the standing long jump and was part of the 4x2-lap relay team who finished second.
Rebecca finished second in the four lap, partnered Kerry for third spot in the eight lap parlaaf, finished 12th in the standing long jump and joint eighth in the shot.
Shona finished ninth in the two lap, 13th in the standing long jump, and was part of the Cheshire team who finished second in the 4x2-lap relay.
Kerry finished seventh in the four lap, fifth in the vertical jump, and third in the speed bounce.
