WEST Cheshire AC consolidated their position near the top of the Young Athletes Track and Field League Northern West Division One table after securing second place in their second-round match at Wigan.

Stephen Jones, Sam Rimmer, Robbie Dagnall, David Donkin, Aidan Stoakley, Richard Farley and Tom Booth claimed points for the under 17 men.

Adam Howell and Ryan Jones headed the U15 boys charge with a 100m double, alongside Joseph O’Riordan, Michael Bailiff, Jonathan Fraser-Cox, Yousef Khalifa, Rhys Dawkes, Joel Langmead and Callam Benson.

Chris Harrop, Leon Langmead and Matthew Pagan bagged maximum points from the U13 boys 100m and 200m, alongside Alex Kirk, Oliver Ashworth, Michael Ellis, Chris McCartney and James McMahon.

Danielle Erskine, Sam Galley, Gemma Hale and Emily Clarke delivered the U17 ladies’ points.

Alice McMahon, Emma Johnson, Kelly Baker, Laura Rigby, Jenni Potter, Lucy Earl and Jenna Sheehy combined for the U15 girls.

Laura Jones (75m and shot), Amy Williams (70m hurdles and long jump), Charlotte Williamson (B70m hurdles) and Gemma Chatterton (B shot) scored victories in the U13 girls age group which also featured Harriet Walker, Natasha Tudor, Ellen McMahon and Emma Moss.
