Members of West Cheshire AC turned in medal-winning road relay performances.

Harvey Tegg (10 minutes 25 seconds) teamed up with Isaac Tait (10:36) and Charlie Potts (11:18) to earn West Cheshire under 13 boys gold in the Cheshire Road Relay Championships, which were encorporated into the North West Road Relays Championships at Edge Hill University, Ormskirk. It was enough to earn the West Cheshire boys third in the North West standings.

The trio were supported in their race by Ethan Butler (11:29), Matthew Douglass (11:47) and William Wright (11:20), who finished 15th overall and fourth in the Cheshire Championships.

Ethan Greenland (18:27), Cameron Bradley (21:53) and Adam Carlile (20:33) combined for third place in the Cheshire under 17 men’s race and 14th spot overall, while Hollie Jones (12:12), Lucia Pyne (11:38) and Molly Jones (12:06) earned third spot in the Cheshire Championships and ninth position in the North West event.

Sonny Dean (10:08), Sion Roberts (10:28) and Jac Goodall (10:20) secured fourth place in the Cheshire under 15 boys event and ninth place overall, while Dave Dentith (11:04), Rory Willson (11:19) and Patrick Tait (12:03) finished sixth in Cheshire and 20th overall.

Ellie Robinson (22:14), Lisa Davies (23:25) and Heather McLintock (22:11) finished fifth in Cheshire and 28th overall in the women’s race, while Ann Marie Tait (25:13) and Ellen McMahon (25:20) were part of an incomplete team and Beth McMahon posted 12:32 in West Cheshire under 15 girls’ incomplete team.

Mark Davies (18:23), David Tait (19:14), Andrew Clague (19:24) and Ian Gloyne-Philips (18:44) finished fourth in Cheshire and 38th overall in the men’s race, while Andrew Carter (19:14), Bob Benson (21:29), John Collings (23:25) and Peter Smith (24:30) combined for eighth spot in the Cheshire event and 66th place overall.

Abigail Pawlett was crowned under 13 girls Cheshire Junior Pentathlon champion at Macclesfield.

The all-rounder clocked a new sprint hurdles personal best of 11.2 seconds and was joined at the event by Emily Misantoni who was joint third, Anna Crayston who posted a new long jump best, Lauren Jones, and Abigail Cartwright.

Isobel Griffin Morris completed her season in style at the Liverpool Jumps and Throws Meeting.

The West Cheshire AC thrower spun the discus to a new personal best mark of 41.20m to win the under 17 women’s competition.

David Tait was first home for West Cheshire AC at the Wirral Half Marathon where he posted 86 minutes 20 seconds for 26th position, while Robert Little represented the club at the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon, posting 85 minutes 53 seconds for 75th position.

Robert Freeman (seventh in 20:00) was first home for West Cheshire AC at the Ellesmere Port ParkRun over the weekend.
