ATHLETICS: WEST Cheshire AC grabbed a fistful of medals at Warrington on Sunday following a string of memorable performances at the Cheshire County AA Track Relay Championships. ..TEXT: The senior men's quartet of Lee Hearn, Chris Rushton, Keir Ferguson and Tim Wilderspin combined to clock 47.4secs and clinch the county 4x100m title.

Kristy Bell, Danielle Erskine, Danielle Bentley and Gemma Mayled took part in the U11 girls' 4x100m and came second in 1:03.3, while Sian Felman,

Daisy Flynn-Piercy, Ruth Pritchard and Shona Valentine clocked 55.4secs for second spot in the U13 girls' 4x100m final.

Ruth Pritchard, Rebecca Grimes and Kerry Riley finished runners-up in the U13 girls' 3x800m final in 8:03.2, while Jason McGonigle, Matthew Smith, Carl Van Schie and Tom Price took second spot in the U15 boys' 4x400m in 4:13.5.

Louise Woodward, Rachel Stoakley, Fawn Beddows and Hayley Daltrey finished second in the U15 girls' 4x100m in 52.1sec and Leanne Henning, Catriona Boyd, Amanda Scott and Tricia Jackson clinched second place in the U17 girls' 4x100m in 53.8 seconds.

Tricia, Amanda and Catriona then teamed up in the U17 girls' 3x800m to finish third in 8:43.5.

Kelly Money, Charlotte Roach and Karin Svensson were third in the U15 girls' 3x800m relay in 7:52.5, while the other WCAC placed team on the day was the senior ladies quartet of Nicola Durrant, Claire Edgar, Sharon Bell and Gemma McGonigle in 59.5 seconds for third position.
