RUNCORN'S exit from the UniBond League Cup competitions - already a probability - came a mathematical certainty at Rivacre Park on Tuesday.
But the understrength Linnets maintained their good run of results after both sides had led.
The visitors, whose first-choice midfieldmen Dominic Morley and Chris Price were named only as substitutes, fell behind to a Lawton goal in the 38th minute but Alan Cowley, making a surprise return, equalised within two minutes.
Mike Tomlinson put Runcorn ahead in 66 minutes only for Haddrell to equalise (81).
