SLACK defending and a harsh penalty award in the opening five minutes ended Motors’ hopes of beating the Brewers in the FA Trophy on Saturday.

Albion’s first came when Aaron Webster met a corner in the second minute before Jonathan Egerton was harshly adjudged to have handled inside the box and former Chester striker Daryl Clare slotted his penalty calmly past keeper Lloyd Rigby. Clare then made it 3-0 after Motors allowed Nigel Clough’s men to pass through them too easily.

In the second half, John McGrath struck a fourth before the tireless Peter Heler latched on to a late through ball to find the net for Motors.
