NORTHWICH ASC's under 12s retained the Tyre Trophy for the third time at Woolston, but it was close.
They pipped their Warrington Warriors hosts by just four points after the two clubs had pulled away from Liverpool Penguins, St Helens and a second Warrington team.
Northwich scored 186pts, Warriors 182.
Their team achieved 27 personal best times with the top spot going to 10-year-old Andrew Cunniffe who reduced his 50m butterfly mark by 15 seconds and his 50m breaststroke time by seven seconds.
Catherine Moss, also 10, knocked 12 seconds off her 50m butterfly time.

Matthew Tasker, 15, won a gold and two silver medals at the Wrexham Swim Meet and also set two new club records.
He won the 100m backstroke event and was runner-up in the 100m 'fly and 200m individual medley.
Sarah Jervis broke Northwich's 11 years 100m freestyle record though she did not win the event.
Golds were also won by 13-year-old Lauren Miller (100m free) and Sarah Miller, 16 (100m butterfly), who also picked up silvers in the 200m IM and 100m backstroke.
Andrew Cunniffe, Lauren Roberts and Liz Hodges all won bronze medals.
Speeding tickets for performances faster than the cut-off times were issued Sarah Jervis and Matthew Tasker.
