TOM Shiels is packing fights under his belt after entering the ring three times in a week for Vauxhall Motors ABC.
A thrilling victory against Tom Pears in the Vauxhall Motors show was followed by a bout against Dale Ollier of Winsford in the West Lancs and Cheshire Junior semi-finals at the Rotunda Club in Liverpool.
Shiels quickly dispatched his rival. Ollier skirted around him but Shiels picked out a powerful right which staggered his opponent and led to an early standing eight count.
On resumption, Shiels refused to chase Ollier around and instead timed his movement to unload a series of head shots, a body shot to bring Ollier's guard down and a huge head shot which forced the referee to end the fight.
Shiels then fought in the final at Everton Park Sports Centre where he took on Liam Milner, a 14-bout fighter from St Aloysius ABC with a 50/50 record.
Six-bout Shiels was facing a tough test against a boxer trained by former ABA champion Kenny Willis, but he showed tactical nous, starting on the back foot and seeing what Milner was made of.
At the end of the first he had a healthy 4-1 lead. Milner came back in the second and it was 5-5 going into the final round.
The two tired boxers threw everything into the third round and Shiels just nicked it by one point 8-7.
Clubmate Alex Foulkes is through to the national quarter-finals after a walkover which has given him extra time for his injured nose to heal.
