OULTON Park stages its first big crowd puller of the season at the weekend - the Lloyds TSB Insurance British Formula 3 International Series and the Avon Tyres British GT Championship.

The British racing and Sports Car Club opened the action on Saturday, but with the British F3 come thousands of fans.

F3 is the ultimate test for aspiring Formula 1 drivers with famous names such as David Coulthard, Jenson Button and Ayrton Senna among those making the step up.

At Oulton Park this Easter Monday another famous name will return to the series as Greg and Leo Mansell, sons of 1992 F1 World Champion Nigel, start a fight for the title that their father tried but failed to win almost 30 years ago.

Alongside F3 on Easter weekend will be British GTs which features Le Mans-style racing with 500bhp cars from manufacturers such as Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini.

Merseyside-based Tech 9 Motorsport used the Oulton Park official 2007 season launch last Tuesday to show off their latest Porsche 911 GT3 car, which they will compete in both the British GT and FIA GT Championships this year.

The Bennetts British Superbike Championship is traditionally an even bigger crowd puller at Oulton and the series was represented at the launch by Liverpool-based team PR Branson Honda and former MotoGP rider Sean Emmett. Both are hoping to come out on top in this year's British Superbike Cup, at Oulton Park on May 7 and July 15.

The Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship is at Oulton on June 24.

Tickets for the Easter Monday of the British F3 & GT meeting cost £15 if bought in advance at www.oultonpark.co.uk and are also available by calling 0870 950 9000. Admission is free for children aged 12 and under.
