JENNY Tinmouth is aiming to put her Croft nightmare behind her when she continues her pursuit of a top-five finish at Cadwell Park this weekend.

The 28-year-old from Whitby failed to make it a hat-trick of top-10 finishes in the British 125cc GP Championship after dropping her bike on the final corner in Lincolnshire.

'I'm really disappointed with myself. I just made a stupid mistake right at the end and it cost me another top-10 place,' said Tinmouth, who had clocked a ninth-placed finish at Knockhill and a seventh at Oulton Park.

'I've just got to keep on practising hard and try and get that top-five finish in one of the last three races.'

Tinmouth, who works at the Two Wheel Workshop on Westminster Industrial Park, had looked set for another strong finish at Croft after qualifying in 14th place.

But after an impressive show on her non-factory Honda bike she fell at the final corner and, despite attempts to re-start her bike, she could not get it started in time to record a finish.

Tinmouth, who races in almost exclusively all-male fields, added: 'I was 10th as I came up to that corner and if I had got round it I think I was in with a chance of eighth, which is very frustrating.

'But I'm staying positive and if anything it has made me even more determined to end the season with a flourish.'
