MEMBERS of Ellesmere Port City Tennis Club have again been named among the cream of Cheshire’s rising stars.

The club was started four years ago through coach Monica Robinson, who has now been joined by head coach Graham MacTaggart.

Players compete at all levels of the game, from local to national, and represent the county in nearly every age group, including: U18s Corinne Bebbington, Kim Schmider, Tom Schmider; U18/U16s Cameron Hogg; U14s Jac Newis; U12/U14s Eden Richardson; U9s Rhona Cook, Tom Owen.

Cameron Hogg won all three games at the U16s Twelve-Counties competition at the weekend, helping Cheshire to second spot on the day, and Eden Richardson will compete in the U14s County Cup on Saturday (April 16).

The West Cheshire College-based club received the Cheshire Tennis Club of The Year 2010 award last October with coach Robinson taking a Lifetime Achievement Award for her dedication to junior tennis.

EPCTC is holding an open afternoon on Wednesday, April 20 (3-5pm) at the college for people to try two hours of free activities, as well as Easter camps from April 18-20 and April 26-28 for players aged six to 14.
