A SCHOOLBOY has been serving up success on the Cheshire mini tennis circuit.

Clayton Endress-Roberts, seven, has been a member of Tarporley Tennis Club for two years.

Already this season he has won a mini tennis tournament in Lymm and finished runner-up at Ellesmere Port and Great Sankey.

Coach Nicola Herbert said: “Clayton really enjoys his tennis and he is a great role model for other aspiring young players, showing them that little competitions in addition to club lessons can broaden horizons and create new exciting challenges.”

Clayton trains twice a week under the guidance of Nicola and fellow club coaches Allen Ward and Sarah Lawton.

The youngster attends the Grange Junior School, Hartford.
