TECH 9 have shot into an early lead in the Avon Tyres GT Championship.
They won the second of two races at Oulton Park to top the table after the first meeting of eight.
The opening day had seen the Hale Village team secure fourth place in a close hour-long race.
But in race two, Matt Harris made the most of the slippery Bank Holiday Monday conditions in Tech 9's Porsche before handing over to teammate Oliver Bryant, who emerged from the pits in the lead.
A mature drive ensured Bryant kept a determined Jonathan Cocker (Barwell Motor-sport) behind him until the chequered flag while also claiming the championship lead.
The bio-ethanol-powered Aston Martin of Cocker and Paul Drayson had been at the front of the first race until spinning 10 minutes from the end.
This handed the lead, and Easter Saturday victory, to the Ferrari 430 of Christians in Motorsport's Hector Lester and Tim Mullen.
With five minutes left, Tech 9's Harris was running in third overall, having taken over at the wheel from Bryant.
But Godfrey Jones (Team Eurotech-Preci Spark) pulled off a bold outside manoeuvre at Old Hall corner to snatch the final place on the podium.
For the second round at Snetterton on Sunday, June 3, the format switches from two 60-minute races to one two-hour endurance race.
