THE Harriers turned in a creditable performance when they travelled to Macclesfield for their third round fixture in the Cheshire Track and Field League.
The club’s charge was headed by their under 11 girls contingent of Jess Wright, Jenny Pyatt and Georgia Massey.
In the 75m, Wright had a runaway A win in 11.6 seconds, Pyatt took the third B place in 12.4 and Massey also had a third place in 12.6 for the C points.
The 600m saw Wright on top form as she took another winning A points victory in one minute, 57.2 seconds. Pyatt’s 2:11.2 was good for the third B and Georgia had a splendid run in the C race, taking the second place points.
Wright completed her scoring with the winning leap in the long jump of 3.72m, giving her a hat-trick of winning A performances. Massey also had a good result in the long jump, taking the second B points with a best of 3.09m.
Pyatt completed the scoring with a second A in the javelin, throwing 14.02m.
There were some good results for Frodsham in the U13 girls competition, starting with the 100m, which saw Martha Cottrell claim the second A points time of 14.6.
Tori Acton took the second B place with a time of 15.1, Emma Scott ran a time of 14.7s for a great first C place and Emma Pyatt completed the scoring with a 3rd D time of 16.9.
In the 600m, Scott took the third A points in 2:49.9, Pyatt claimed a winning first B spot in 2:40.2 and Katy Morgan clinched the C points in 3:02.5.
In the long jump, Scott put in a leap of 3.79m for the third A points, Pyatt jumping 3.50m for the B points.
Acton won the A points in the javelin, throwing a best of 12.98m, while Laura's throw of 9.17m took the B points.
Becca Pill, Amy Wright, Becca Cartwright and Suzanne Baker made up the U15 girls squad, Pill taking the fourth A points in the 100m in 14.1.
Wright won the second A points with a clearance of 1.32m and saw a splendid effort of 6.42m rewarded with the third A place in the shot.
Jack Peacock and Steven Baker tackled the U11 boys events, the highlights being Peacock’s second A finish in the 600m in 1:53.4 and Baker taking the B race win in 2:13.3.
Thomas Jones led off the scoring for Frodsham’s U13 boys, running a 200m time of 31.0 for the fourth A points. Jorge Peacock took the second C in 31.6.
Charlie Fletcher’s 1.15m clearance in the high jump won the 3rd A points.
The 200m was the first event for the U17 men and it saw Colin Hornby clinch the fourth place points in 25.4.
Mike Fryer took the first C points in 26.3.
