A SCHOOLBOY from Tarporley has been rewarded for a season of success on the slopes.
Rhodri Gale, 14, achieved a string of podium places in Europe and the UK during the winter skiing season.
The Tarporley High School pupil finished third in his age group at the British Alpine Championships in Meribel, France, which meant he was selected for the next stage of training with the British U16 alpine team. As a result, Rhodri was awarded a sponsorship from his home slope, Chill Factore in Manchester.
