Farnworth A, 7-2 winners at Stadium B, were indebted to Chris Smart (84-23) and anchorman Ronnie Crewe (77-20). St Joseph's B likewise triumphed 7-2 - father and son Eddie Szczotok (77-33) and Karl Szczotok (58-45) causing early damage.
Frank Pennington knocked a 43 break for the Buffs in reply.
Simms Cross beat Village A 6-3, Mark Bingham continuing his excellent season as a 72-56 winner while Kev Marsh beat a worthy opponent 67-44.
Stadium A also won 6-3, Eddie Corby providing the highlight with an 87-26 frame.

Division Two's HGSC B showed their class at home to Hallwood Raven. In an 8-1 demolition, Ste O'Connor's 75-24 included a 27 clearance while Gary Rowlands' 51-46 win featured a break of 29.
Pavilions A beat Farn-worth B 8-1, Lee Gascoigne (95-7) and Peter Bate (88-26) running amok.
Village B's tremendous team performance produced an 8-1 victory. Neil Webster took most of the plaudits with an opening 67-38 win.
RAOB B won 7-2 with A Langley and K Sanders proving their worth.

* Widnes Conservative Club B reached the final of the Team KO Cup with a comfortable victory over Moorfield C. They now return to the scene of their semi-final triumph, Farnworth S&SC to face Birch-field on Wednesday, May 2.
